Tension in Delta as Keyamo declares governorship ambition
As the clock ticks for the 2015 general elections, Delta State is set to witness what looks like a pulsating battle for its soul as human rights activist, Mr Festus Keyamo, has declared his interest to contest for the state’s governorship election.
DailyPost has gathered that the controversial lawyer declared his interest recently in Effurun-Warri, Delta State, at the maiden edition of Delta Forces United (DFU), a rallying point being put in place to mobilise and galvanise progressives in the state.
Keyamo who promised to take ‘Deltans’ out of what he termed the present state of underdevelopment, condemned what he termed “politics of cronyism, ethnicity, prebendalism and underdevelopment in the state,” announcing that it was time for ‘Deltans’ to be liberated from the dynasty of thieves that have taken over the state in the years.
However, DailyPost cannot confirm under what platform Keyamo would run for in the coming election, but he has ruled out the possibility of joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing the party as “an entrencher of godfatherism to the detriment of the masses
